About Repagevia

Repagevia redesigns existing websites for New Zealand businesses. We focus on one thing: taking a site that has fallen behind and making it clear, current and easy to use, without throwing away what it already does well.

Why we focus on redesigns

Building a brand-new website and redesigning an existing one are different jobs. A new site starts from a blank page. A redesign starts with years of content, search history, links from other sites, forms connected to inboxes and customers who know their way around the old layout. Every one of those things can be lost if the work is careless.

We chose to specialise in redesigns because that inheritance deserves respect. The most valuable part of an old website is often invisible: the blog post that still brings in enquiries, the price list a supplier links to, the address printed on the side of a van. Our process is built around finding those things before anything changes.

What we believe about websites

A business website has a job to do. For most small businesses, that job is to explain what the business offers, show that it is real and trustworthy, and make it easy to get in touch, book or buy. A good redesign makes the site better at that job. A beautiful site that hides the phone number has failed.

We also believe a website should work for everyone. That means pages that are comfortable on a phone, readable for people with low vision, usable with a keyboard and quick on a patchy connection. We test every page we build against WCAG 2.2 at level AA, not because most private businesses are required to, but because accessible sites are better sites.

And we believe in plain dealing. Fixed quotes before any work starts, written plans, clear ownership and no claims we cannot back up.

What we will not do

Some things are worth saying plainly:

  • We do not publish client results figures. Results depend on far more than a website, and figures without context can mislead. Our concepts page shows illustrative drawings of fictional businesses instead. Our website claims guide explains why.
  • We do not guarantee search rankings. Nobody controls them. We plan migrations carefully to lower the risk of losing traffic.
  • We do not write fake reviews, for ourselves or anyone else.
  • We do not use pressure tactics such as fake countdown timers or invented scarcity on the sites we build.
  • We do not lock you in. You own your domain, your content and the custom design and code we create once the final invoice is paid.
  • We do not sell hosting, ongoing retainers or advertising. If you need those, we will say so and suggest you look for a specialist.

Who we work with

We work with New Zealand businesses that already have a website and have outgrown it. That includes trades and home services, health and professional practices, hospitality, local retailers and small online stores. We quote in NZD, work on New Zealand time and write in New Zealand English.

We only take on projects for businesses based in New Zealand, and only for businesses we would be comfortable recommending to a friend.

How we work

Every redesign follows the same five stages: audit, plan, design, build and launch. Each stage ends with something you can check and sign off in writing; the plan is approved before design starts, and staging before launch. You have one main point of contact throughout, and decisions are always confirmed by email so there is a clear record. The process page describes each stage in detail.

The guides on this site

Alongside our services, we publish guides for New Zealand business owners planning a redesign. They cover practical topics such as content audits and redirect mapping, and the legal background on website claims, privacy and contracts. They are written by Lily Morris, the pen name used by our editor, and they follow our editorial policy.

We publish the guides because a business owner who understands redesigns makes better decisions, whether or not they hire us. Each guide cites its sources, and those that touch on law are general information, not legal advice.

Our commercial interest

Repagevia sells website redesign services. That is a commercial interest, and it is the reason this website exists. We try to keep the guides and tools useful regardless: the redesign planner works for briefing any designer, and the migration checklist applies to any redesign.

Privacy and contact

Repagevia holds any personal information you send us through this site. Our privacy notice explains what we collect and how we use it. The simplest way to reach us is by email at hello@repagevia.site, or through the contact page.

We do not publish a street address, because we work remotely across New Zealand. We do not take walk-in visits.
