This site sets one cookie, on the contact page only, and uses your browser's local storage for one tool. There are no analytics, advertising or social media cookies.

No other cookies or storage are used.
The contact form cookie
When the contact form is available, the contact page sets a session cookie called rpv_desk. It holds a random identifier that links your browser to a security token, which the form checks when you send a message. This helps make sure messages come from someone using the form on our site, not from an automated script elsewhere.
The cookie is strictly necessary for the form to work securely. It is marked Secure (sent only over HTTPS), HttpOnly (page scripts cannot read it) and SameSite=Lax, which means browsers do not send it with background requests or form posts that other websites trigger, though they may send it when you follow a link here. It is not used for tracking. The cookie itself lasts until you close your browser; separately, our server discards the session it points to after two hours, so an old cookie stops working.
If the form is unavailable for any reason, the page shows our email address instead and does not set the cookie.
Other pages on the site do not set any cookies.
The checklist's local storage
The migration checklist saves your ticks in your browser's local storage, under the name repagevia-migration-checklist. This lets you leave and come back to the list on the same device.
Local storage stays on your device. It is not sent to our server, and we cannot see it. You can remove it with the checklist's "Clear all ticks" button or by clearing your browser's site data.
The redesign planner does not store anything. Your answers exist only on the page until you close it.
What we do not use
This site does not use:
- Analytics or visitor tracking
- Advertising or remarketing cookies
- Social media buttons or embedded feeds
- Third-party fonts or scripts loaded from other domains
Fonts, styles and scripts are all served from repagevia.site.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block cookies, the contact form will not be able to verify your submission; you can email hello@repagevia.site instead.

Why we keep cookies to a minimum
Many websites set dozens of cookies, most of them for analytics and advertising networks that follow visitors from site to site. We chose not to. A redesign business does not need to track people across the web to answer enquiries, and every extra tool adds weight to the page and another company that receives data about our visitors.
Keeping to one strictly necessary cookie also means we do not need a consent banner that covers the page as soon as it loads. Banners like that are a common cause of layout shift on phones, and they get in the way of people using screen magnifiers. We would rather explain our approach on this page and keep the rest of the site clear.
How we check this notice stays accurate
Whenever we change the site, we load each page type in a fresh browser profile and list every cookie and storage entry it creates. If anything appears that is not in the table above, we either remove it or update this notice before the change goes live. The last-updated line near the heading records the most recent change.
Cookies on sites we link to
Our guides link to legislation, regulators and other sources. When you follow one of those links, you leave repagevia.site, and the other site's own cookie and privacy practices apply. We do not control them and cannot see what they set.
Cookie and storage questions
Do I need to accept cookies to read the guides?
No. Guides, service pages and tools set no cookies at all. The only cookie is on the contact page, and only when the form is available.
Does the contact cookie track me between visits?
No. It holds a random value. Your browser drops it when you close the browser, and our server stops honouring it after two hours. It is not linked to any profile and is not shared with anyone.
Can I use the checklist without local storage?
Yes. If your browser blocks local storage, the checklist still works on the page, but your ticks will not be remembered after you leave.
